The driver 42 applies a first voltage or a second voltage to the upper-arm switching element T1 to control and turn the upper-arm switching element T1 on and off. The negative voltage circuit 43 supplies a voltage lower than the voltage of the node Pu to the driver 42 as the second voltage. The voltage dividing circuit 44 performs voltage division between the negative voltage circuit 43 and a negative power supply 9. The detection unit 45 outputs a signal based on a voltage resulting from the voltage division by the voltage dividing circuit 44.
