The present invention relates to a support bearing for a constant velocity joint in which: a ball rotation surface (33) of a bearing (4) is formed on a shaft section (32) of an outer ring (31) of an inboard-side constant velocity joint (3); a support bearing outer ring (42) is disposed to face the ball rotation surface (33); and balls (43) as a plurality of rolling elements which are held by a retainer (44) are disposed between the ball rotation surface (33) and the rotation surface of the support bearing outer ring (42). With this arrangement, the present invention makes it possible to decrease size and weight.
