The invention relates to a rotor (1) of a rotating electric machine. The rotor (1) comprises a two-part rotor shaft (3) which consists of rotor shaft parts (7, 9) which are interconnected and which are arranged successively along a rotor axis (5), an annular rotor lamination core (17) which is arranged about a section of a first rotor shaft part (7), a number of shaft webs (19) which connect the first rotor shaft part (7) to the rotor lamination core (17) and channel plates in the form of hollow cylindrical segments, each channel plate being arranged between two shaft webs and being fastened to said webs.
