The invention relates to a method and a system for monitoring a pressure of a tyre mounted on a wheel of a driving vehicle, the method comprising the following steps: measuring a temperature (Tm) relative to the immediate environment of the vehicle; estimating the weight (Me) of the vehicle; measuring at least one first oscillation frequency (Fm1) of the tyre in a first range of frequencies and a second oscillation frequency (Fm2) of the tyre in a second range of frequencies; and determining the pressure (Pc) of the tyre in accordance with the first (Fm1) and second (Fm2) oscillation frequencies and the temperature (Tm) measured as well as the estimated weight (Me) of the vehicle.
