The invention relates to a cooling air guide for a friction lining brake of a motor vehicle which vehicle has a wheel mount and a wheel hub attached to the wheel mount, wherein the friction lining brake has a brake body having friction surfaces, in particular a brake disc, which brake body is connected to the wheel hub of the motor vehicle, and a brake cover arranged on the inside of the brake body and fastened in a stationary manner to the wheel mount. The brake cover forms a first air guide apparatus of the cooling air guide. The cooling air guide has a second air guide apparatus which is arranged on a side of the brake cover facing away from the brake body and is fastened to the brake cover in a stationary manner. The second air guide apparatus is designed such that cooling air flowing in from the front, relative to a longitudinal vehicle direction, is directed through the second air guide apparatus toward the vehicle exterior to the first air guide apparatus and from there, via interaction of the first air guide apparatus with the second air guide apparatus, further toward the vehicle exterior to the brake body. In addition, the second air guide apparatus can have a scoop-shaped, primary air guide surface, which extends in the transverse vehicle direction close to the brake cover.
