There are provided a method and a device for testing water droplet shedding ability of an aircraft wing. A cylindrical member (2) simulating an aircraft wing (W) and having hydrophobicity that differs across a boundary position (2b) in a circumferential direction is used. Air is blown by using a blower (3) toward a surface of the cylindrical member (2) in an airflow direction (D) perpendicular to an axial direction of the cylindrical member (2). A water droplet is supplied by using a water supply cylinder (4 to a portion of the surface of the cylindrical member (2) on a leading edge side with respect to a flow of the air. An image of the water droplet that moves on the surface of the cylindrical member (2 across the boundary position (2b) due to the flow of the air is captured by using a camera (5).
