The invention relates to an operator terminal for monitoring air traffic, which comprises means (2) for displaying air traffic information and man/machine interface means (3) that are made available to the operator, particularly for managing traffic and the operation of the terminal, and which is characterized in that the man/machine interface means also comprise means (5) having a touch-sensitive surface and an eye-tracking device (4) for detecting the position of the eyes of the air operator, and in that it is suitable for displaying the minimum distance of separation between two aircrafts at least during the intersection thereof, said distances being established on the basis of the flight planes of said aircrafts or on the basis of radar data, if the operator looks at the first aircraft, places a finger on the means having a touch-sensitive surface, in order to select said first aircraft, looks at the second aircraft, and places another finger on the means having a touch-sensitive surface, in order to select said second aircraft, for displaying the future position of the aircraft (6, 7, 8) if the operator slides the fingers thereof on the means having a touch-sensitive surface, and for creating a conflict event in a schedule (10) when the operator removes the fingers thereof from the means having a touch-sensitive surface.
