A frictional resistance reduction type ship includes a plurality of air blowing portions disposed on a ship bottom. Each air blowing portion includes an air supply pipe and a chamber portion. The air supply pipe supplies air. The chamber portion has an upper surface having the air pipe connected thereto, and also has a bottom surface having a plurality of air ejection holes therein to discharge the air. The internal height of the chamber portion is in the range of 40 cm to 200 cm, inclusive.
