An energy harvester (18), in particular an aircraft (10), comprises a first portion (20), a second portion (22) and an energy storing unit (24). The first portion (20) includes a charge collecting device (26) having an electrical permittivity different to the one of air. The charge collecting device (26) is configured to be exposed to an air flow (A). The second portion (22) is configured to be exposed to air wherein the second portion (22) includes a conductive material. The energy storing unit (24) is electrically connected between the first portion (20) and the second portion (22).
