When a determination is made that the running mode is an HV running mode at S10 (YES at S10), an ECU sets the system voltage for an HV running mode (S20). When a determination is made that the running mode is an EV running mode at S10 (NO at S10), the ECU sets the system voltage for an EV running mode (S30). The setting of the system voltage for an EV running mode is lower than the setting for an HV running mode.
