The device (100) has a control module (120) delivering control and position signals of an actuator (110), determined according to control messages received from a flight control managing system of an aircraft. A monitoring module (130) delivers the position signals and receives the control messages. A position sensor (112) i.e. Hall effect sensor, provides information relative to rotational positioning of a rotor of a brushless electric motor (111). Position of the actuator is determined by the control module based on initial position data provided by the monitoring module.
