The reinforcing system comprises a support element (22), which is connected to a structural element for reinforcement. The support element has channels. An adhesive is provided, which is disposed in a cavity between the support element and the structural element. The adhesive is introduced into the cavity between the support element and the structural element through the channels. The adhesive is a single component reaction adhesive, particularly polyurethane composition made of polyol, an isocyanate hardener, an acrylate compound or an epoxy compound. An independent claim is also included for a method for reinforcing cavity of a structural element.
