The system has a compressed air storage (20) provided upstream of a compressed air connection of an air conditioning system (10), where the compressed air connection is guided to a compressed air consumer (24). The storage is arranged downstream of a pressure limiting valve (26) assigned to the system. The valve is arranged directly upstream or downstream of a check valve (28) that is assigned to the system. The storage is arranged upstream of an air drying unit (36) of the system, where a safety valve (30) is assigned to the system. An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling of an air conditioning system of a commercial motor vehicle.
