In one advantageous embodiment, the aircraft structure (400,526) may have a rib (506-510), a plurality of stringers (512-522), and a set of shear ties (600,602). The plurality of stringers may have skin flanges (608-612) at ends of the plurality of stringers capable of being fastened to skin (524) for the aircraft structure. The set of shear ties may extend from the rib and have a set of elongate members (624-635) in which the set of elongate members are attached to the plurality of stringers.
