The invention relates to an emergency wheel for a vehicle wheel, comprising a rim and a tyre arranged on the rim, wherein the emergency wheel, in an operating configuration in which it is mounted on the vehicle wheel, allows driving with restricted tyre function. The emergency wheel is designed in multiple parts and comprises running segments (16, 17) each with a tread portion (18) which together form a tread, and a mounting portion (12), which can be mounted on a rim of a vehicle wheel in the operating configuration and comprises at least three clamp arms (21) which extend radially outwards from a common centre point (22). At least one claw (31) is provided on each clamp arm (21) and can be actuated by a coupling element (26) of a clamping device (24), which is located in the centre point (22) of the mounting portion (12) for fastening the mounting portion (12) on the rim of the vehicle wheel, a connecting bridge (28) with at least two claws (31) being provided on at least two or on each coupling element (26) and the claws (31) being displaceable with the coupling element (26) by the clamping device (24) in a translational manner along the particular clamp arm (21).
