The invention is suitable for the technical field of intelligent traffic, and provides an ultra-wide vehicle detection method and device during road maintenance construction. In the embodiment of the invention, for a construction area in which road maintenance is being carried out, a vehicle width detection device provided with a laser radar is firstly placed around the area, and a fixed area away from the construction area is monitored through the vehicle width detection device. When it is detected that a vehicle exists in the monitored area, point cloud information of the vehicle is obtained, and target point cloud information moving towards the vehicle width detection device is judged through point cloud information frames at two adjacent moments. The method comprises the following steps: acquiring target point cloud information of a vehicle, clustering the target point cloud information into a plurality of point cloud blocks, calculating the width of the point cloud blocks by adopting Point RCNN and a deviation weighting-based PCA method so as to determine the width of the vehicle, and performing alarm processing when determining that the width of the vehicle is greater than a preset alarm width. The problems that safety risks exist, manpower is consumed and efficiency is not high in an existing method for judging whether the vehicle is ultra-wide or not based on manual visual judgment are solved.

    本发明适用于智能交通技术领域,提供了一种道路养护施工时的超宽车辆检测方法和装置。在本实施例中,对于正在进行道路养护的施工区域,先在该区域周围放置安装有激光雷达的车宽检测装置,通过该装置对距离该施工区域的固定区域进行监控。当检测到监控的区域存在车辆时,获取该车辆的点云信息,并通过相邻两个时刻的点云信息帧判断向车宽检测装置移动的目标点云信息。再将该目标点云信息聚簇为若干个点云块,然后通过采用PointRCNN和基于偏差加权的PCA方法计算点云块的宽度,从而确定车辆宽度,并在确定该车辆宽度大于预设的报警宽度时,进行报警处理。这解决了现有的基于人工目视判断车辆是否超宽的方法中不仅存在安全风险,还耗费人力且效率不高的问题。
