The invention provides a multi-marshalling train identification method, a ground neutral section passing system and a control method of the ground neutral section passing system, motor vehicles and non-motor vehicles of a train are distinguished according to different fixed wheelbases, so that the motor vehicle position of the multi-marshalling train is judged, and the motor vehicle position is further used as locomotive position information for ground automatic neutral section passing; according to the method, the locomotive and the truck can be accurately identified by utilizing the difference of the wheelbases of the motor vehicle and the non-motor vehicle, mature and reliable equipment is adopted, the principle is simple, and implementation is easy; a pure physical detection and judgment mode is adopted, the reliability is high, and a multiple commutation mode is suitable for all ground automatic neutral section passing device modes; meanwhile, the method has remarkable advantages in the existing reconstruction project adopting a ground automatic neutral section passing device, multiple times of commutation can be realized, and the length of a neutral region is effectively shortened; in addition, the method can also be used for transforming a ground neutral section passing system for detecting the position of a locomotive through a track circuit, and secondary commutation is achieved.
