The invention provides a carrying-charging separated mobile charging system and method, and the system comprises an energy storage module, a carrying robot, and a power supply and dispatching center. The energy storage module is used for storing electric energy and supplying power to the user vehicle and the carrying robot; the carrying robot is used for transporting the energy storage module to a user vehicle for charging and is also used for recovering the energy storage module to the power supply and dispatching center, and the carrying robot and the energy storage module are mutually independent; and the power supply and dispatching center is used for charging the energy storage module and performing task dispatching on the energy storage module and the carrying robot. According to the invention, the carrying function and the charging function are separated, the hardware cost is reduced, the resource configuration is optimized, the resource utilization rate is improved, the system space occupation is reduced, and the system complexity is reduced.
