Systems and methods for optical processing are described. According to some aspects, an optical processing device may include a pixelated photodiode array (PDA), each pixel in the PDA including a radiation detector. The apparatus also includes a readout integrated circuit (ROIC) including a logic circuit and a plurality of switching elements. The plurality of switching elements are switchable between a standby state for deactivating a corresponding radiation detector and transmitting a signal received from the corresponding radiation detector to the ROIC, and a de-standby state for de-deactivating the corresponding radiation detector and blocking the transmission of the signal, the plurality of switching elements being switchable between a standby state for deactivating the corresponding radiation detector and transmitting the signal to the ROIC, and a de-standby state for de-deactivating the corresponding radiation detector and blocking the transmission of the signal. In the standby state, the PDA is configured to detect an incident light signal, and in the de-standby state, the PDA is configured to ignore the incident light signal. In addition, the logic circuit controls a switching state of a selectable switching element associated with the radiation detector.
