The invention provides a photovoltaic sail, an unmanned ship and a control method, the photovoltaic sail comprises a photovoltaic unit, the photovoltaic unit is provided with a plurality of photovoltaic battery packs, and the plurality of photovoltaic battery packs are sequentially distributed on the photovoltaic unit along a first preset direction; wherein the photovoltaic sail comprises a plurality of photovoltaic units, the plurality of photovoltaic units are sequentially distributed along a second preset direction, and the photovoltaic sail is rotatably arranged around the first preset direction and the second preset direction; the monitoring device is used for monitoring the generated power of the plurality of groups of photovoltaic battery packs; and the control module is in signal connection with the monitoring device, and the control module controls the photovoltaic sail to rotate around a first preset direction or a second preset direction according to the distribution condition of the generated power of the plurality of photovoltaic units, so that the generated power of all the photovoltaic battery packs meets a preset condition. The photovoltaic sail provided by the invention solves the technical problem of low energy conversion efficiency of a photovoltaic unmanned ship in the prior art.
