The invention relates to a method and a system for early warning of bridge collision, and the method comprises the steps: judging whether the bridge has the risk of being collided or not through the real-time monitoring of the driving track of a ship under the bridge and the tracking and prediction of the position of the outer contour of a target type ship, and carrying out the early warning of the passing ship in time. When the bridge is inevitably impacted, the working state of the main beam is judged according to the vibration response of the bridge and the relative displacement between the main beam and the bridge section, and when the bridge is damaged, early warning is given to bridge vehicles and ships under the bridge in time, so that secondary accidents are avoided. And the early warning comprehensiveness and the early warning accuracy are improved. The problem of low early warning accuracy caused by one-sidedness of early warning when early warning is carried out only for a bridge collision accident in the prior art is solved.
