The invention provides a balance control system of a biped robot, which belongs to the technical field of humanoid robots and comprises a signal processing center and electronic skin sensing units surface-mounted on soles of the biped robot. The electronic skin sensing unit is used for collecting plantar pressure data of the biped robot; the signal processing center is used for determining the gait of the biped robot based on the plantar pressure data and carrying out balance adjustment on the biped robot based on the gait; wherein the gaits comprise normal, forward inclination, backward inclination, left inclination and right inclination. According to the invention, low-cost and high-efficiency balance control of the biped robot is realized.
