The invention discloses a shot peening strengthened automobile steering torsion bar which comprises a torsion bar body, the two ends of the torsion bar body are pressed and embedded into an inner hole of an input shaft/output shaft through an involute spline and a tooth top diameter in an interference fit mode to be connected, the middle portion of the torsion bar body is arranged to be a torsion rigidity section, and shot peening medium treatment is additionally arranged on the surface of the torsion rigidity section. The method has the advantages that the surface is subjected to shot peening strengthening treatment, the anti-fatigue performance is improved, the torsional rigidity is achieved, torque signals can be monitored through the sensor according to the torsion bar deformation, meanwhile, the durability characteristic is enhanced, and the automobile steering hand feeling and the system stability are optimized.
