The method comprises the following steps: acquiring a first facial feature index of the driver in a normal state; acquiring a second facial feature index and a vehicle driving state index of the driver in a vehicle driving state; and comparing the first facial feature index with the second facial feature index, determining a facial feature detection result, and then determining a final fatigue detection result of the driver based on the facial feature detection result and the vehicle driving state index. Through the method, fatigue detection can be carried out in combination with the facial feature index of the driver and the vehicle driving state index when the vehicle is driven, fatigue detection is carried out in combination with different dimensions, and the accuracy of fatigue detection can be improved. And various characteristic indexes of the driver in a normal state can be collected as a contrast, and fatigue detection is realized from the characteristic indexes of multiple dimensions, so that the accuracy of fatigue detection is further improved.
