The traction device comprises a framework, a plurality of driving assemblies and an inclined traction rod. The framework is provided with a plurality of suspension areas which are arranged at intervals in the length direction; the multiple driving assemblies correspond to the multiple suspension areas one to one, the driving assemblies are arranged in the corresponding suspension areas, and the driving assemblies are used for driving a locomotive to move; and one end of the inclined traction rod is rotatably connected with a traction seat of the locomotive, and the other end of the inclined traction rod is rotatably connected with the driving assembly. According to the technical scheme, the problem that a traditional central low-position traction device is not applicable due to the fact that the radial size of a motor of an existing permanent magnet direct drive freight locomotive is too large can be solved.
