Comprising the steps that first voltage and second voltage are determined based on the battery type, the current electric quantity and the target electric quantity of a power battery of a target vehicle, the target electric quantity is the cut-off electric quantity of charging, the first voltage refers to the total voltage of the power battery when charging starts, and the second voltage refers to the total voltage of the power battery when charging ends; based on the first voltage, the second voltage and target power, the average current in the process from charging starting to charging ending is determined, and the target power is the output power of a charging pile for charging the target vehicle; and determining the residual charging time of the power battery based on the average current, the current electric quantity, the target electric quantity and the total capacity of the power battery. According to the method, the residual charging time is calculated according to the average current in the whole charging process, and compared with the maximum output current, the relatively accurate residual charging time can be determined, so that the user experience is improved.
