A positioning device (110) for determining a position of a stationary or moving vehicle on a road of a given network (300) from positioning signals broadcast by satellites in at least one satellite constellation (200), comprising:-a first unit (111) determining a plurality of possible current positions and a plurality of timestamps, configured to: o generate a local copy of the positioning signals; o, receiving positioning signals broadcasted by one or more satellites (201) in the field of view; o, for each possible current location and timestamp, processing a correlation function between the received positioning signal and the local replica; a second unit (112): o determining a common error of all satellites, o using said common error to correct the correlation result, o determining a multi-satellite likelihood for each possible current position of the vehicle; and o, determining the position and the timestamp by comparing the multi-satellite likelihoods.
