The invention provides a method and a device for testing alarm delay of a vehicle blind spot detection system, and the method comprises the steps: receiving a first alarm signal transmitted by a pressure switch sensor which is preset on an edge line of a blind spot alarm region, and recording the first time when the first alarm signal is transmitted; receiving a second alarm signal sent by the vehicle blind spot detection system when the vehicle blind spot detection system detects that the target enters the blind area alarm area, and recording a second time when the second alarm signal is sent; subtracting the first time from the second time to obtain alarm delay of the vehicle blind spot detection system; when the alarm delay is not greater than a preset delay threshold value, determining that the vehicle blind spot detection system passes the alarm delay test; otherwise, determining that the vehicle blind spot detection system does not pass the alarm delay test. By means of the technical scheme, the alarm delay of the BSD system in the static environment can be accurately simulated, and whether the alarm delay meets the requirement or not is tested.
