The invention discloses a charging switching device for an electric vehicle, which comprises a vehicle charging interface, a charger interface, a switch assembly and a control unit, and is characterized in that the vehicle charging interface is used for being connected with the vehicle charging interface, and the charger interface is used for being connected with a charging gun; one end of the switch assembly is connected with the vehicle charging interface, and the other end of the switch assembly is connected with the charger interface; the control unit is connected with the control end of the switch assembly and the charger interface. The control unit is further configured to execute the following steps that a target signal output by the charger interface is received; acquiring reservation charging information based on the target signal; and controlling the switch assembly to be conducted according to the reserved charging information, so that the vehicle charging interface is conducted with the charger interface. According to the invention, for the vehicle type without the reservation charging function, the reservation charging function of the electric vehicle can be realized, so that the interaction between the electric vehicle and the charging gun before charging is monitored and controlled, and the safety and efficiency of subsequent charging are ensured.
