The present invention relates to a method of making a rubber composition comprising polymerizing glycerol monomethacrylate, cross-linking the obtained poly (glycerol monomethacrylate) with borax to form a poly (glycerol monomethacrylate) dynamic borate complex, and blending the complex with an additive. The invention further relates to a rubber composition, a cured rubber composition and a self-repairing tire using the rubber composition.
