The invention relates to vehicle lamplight, and discloses a community range-based dipped headlight control method, which comprises the following steps of: in response to identification that a vehicle is located in a community range, identifying whether a target object exists in a dipped headlight irradiation range of the vehicle or not, and enabling the eye height of the target object to be less than or equal to the irradiation height of the dipped headlight of the vehicle; and reducing the irradiation height of the dipped headlight of the vehicle in response to the target object existing in the irradiation range of the dipped headlight of the vehicle. According to the low beam control method based on the community range, low beam adjustment can be conducted in the community, hard light damage to eyes of children in the community is avoided, meanwhile, low beam control computing power outside the community range can be released, and the situation that driving danger is caused by frequent low beam adjustment outside the community range is avoided.
