The method is applied to the split type charging pile system, the split type charging pile system comprises a main charging machine and more than two charging pile terminals, each charging pile terminal is at least provided with two first single-pair Ethernet SPE ports, the main charging machine is at least provided with one first SPE port, and the main charging machine is at least provided with one first SPE port. All devices in the split type charging pile system are cascaded through a first SPE port. The method comprises the steps that a charging pile terminal sends a device search instruction through multicast; after receiving the equipment search instruction, the main charger sends a search response instruction to the charging pile terminal through unicast; and after receiving the search response instruction, the charging pile terminal establishes connection with the main charging machine through unicast. According to the invention, the hardware cost of charging pile networking can be reduced, and the networking efficiency and the networking accuracy are improved.
