The invention provides a steel cable tension adjusting device which comprises a shell, a tension adjusting device and a tension adjusting device. The driving gear is arranged in the cavity, and the driving gear is used for driving a driven gear to rotate; the driven gear is arranged in the cavity, the driven gear is meshed with the driving gear, and the driven gear is used for driving a sleeve to rotate; the sleeve is fixedly connected with the driven gear, and threaded holes are formed in the two ends of the sleeve; one end of each thread sleeve is in threaded connection with the sleeve, and the other end of each thread sleeve is connected with the steel cable; when the sleeve rotates, the two threaded sleeves can contract or stretch out of the threaded holes, and therefore the tension of the steel cable can be adjusted. Meanwhile, the invention further provides a steel cable tension adjusting method. The invention analyzes the adjustment of the steel cable, provides a steel cable tension adjusting device capable of saving 50% of human resources, and provides a steel cable tension adjusting method of the device in combination with the adjusting device.
