The invention relates to a regenerative braking control method of a vehicle. A regenerative braking control method of a vehicle includes determining whether a specified downhill cruise condition is satisfied in response to an accelerator pedal release in an on state of a regenerative braking switch; when it is determined that the downhill cruise condition is satisfied, if a specified preliminary obstacle does not exist in front of the vehicle, a target deceleration of the vehicle is set as a specified deceleration for downhill cruise; determining the torque required by the vehicle to decelerate at the target deceleration; regenerative braking is preferentially utilized to generate the torque required in the vehicle.
