The method comprises the steps that the total heat dissipation amount and the total heat production amount of a battery pack under target power are determined; the target power is greater than the rated power of the battery pack, and the difference between the target power and the rated power is greater than a preset threshold; and determining the peak power of the battery pack based on the total heat dissipation amount and the total heat production amount. Therefore, under the peak power, the capacity of the battery pack can be completely released, and the accuracy of the peak power of the battery pack is improved. Therefore, the dynamic property of the vehicle can be improved on the premise of not influencing the service life of the battery pack based on the capability of releasing the battery pack in short time based on peak power.
