Components provided in the entire circuit of the vehicle wire harness are classified into three layers, i.e., an upstream circuit, an independent domain circuit, and a partition circuit, according to different categories. A wire harness design method includes: a step of determining a configuration of a first sub-wire harness WH1 belonging to an upstream circuit; a step of determining a configuration of a second sub-harness WH2 belonging to the independent domain circuit; a step of determining a configuration of a third sub-harness WH3 belonging to the partition circuit; and a step of integrating the first sub-wire harness, the second sub-wire harness, and the third sub-wire harness.
