The present disclosure provides a system and method of minimizing walking in a multi-storey parking lot. The present disclosure generally relates to systems and methods for minimizing walking inside a multi-storey parking lot. An example method, which may be performed by a processor, may include determining a first walking distance between a first unoccupied parking space on a first parking floor of a multi-floor parking lot and a destination located outside the multi-floor parking lot, and may also include determining a second walking distance between a second unoccupied parking space on a second parking floor of the multi-floor parking lot and the destination located outside the multi-floor parking lot. The first walking distance is compared to the second walking distance, and guidance is provided to drive to one of the first unoccupied parking space or the second unoccupied parking space based on a shorter one of the first walking distance and the second walking distance. The guidance may be provided via an infotainment system of the vehicle.
