The invention relates to the technical field of vehicle-mounted air conditioners, particularly provides the technical field of vehicle-mounted air conditioners, and aims to solve the technical problems that a storage battery is in a feed state for a long time and the service life is influenced due to simultaneous operation of a plurality of high-power electric appliances, and program problems exist in the use process of the vehicle-mounted air conditioner and the use of a user is influenced. In order to achieve the purpose, a vehicle-mounted air conditioner is in communication connection with a vehicle-mounted terminal through a CAN bus; the method comprises the following steps: acquiring a CAN signal sent by a vehicle-mounted terminal; the CAN signal comprises an engine rotating speed signal and a storage battery capacity signal; the engine state and/or the storage battery capacity are/is obtained based on the CAN signal; and the using state of the vehicle-mounted air conditioner is controlled based on the engine state and/or the storage battery capacity. Through the implementation mode, whether the vehicle-mounted air conditioner is started or not can be judged according to the engine state and the storage battery capacity of the vehicle, the deep discharge risk is reduced, the storage battery is prevented from being in a feed state for a long time due to insufficient power, and therefore the service life of the battery is prolonged.
