The invention discloses an automatic compensation type belt brake supporting device for a large winch, which comprises a winding drum hub and a loose edge steel belt surrounding the periphery of the winding drum hub, a plurality of inner supporting devices are arranged on the winding drum hub, first rollers are arranged in the inner supporting devices, and the first rollers move along a preset path to protrude out of the peripheral surface of the winding drum hub. A support is formed between the reel hub and the loose edge steel belt; the multiple inner supporting devices and the winding drum hub rotate coaxially, so that the multiple first rolling wheels form continuous surrounding movable supporting on the circumferential gap between the winding drum hub and the loose edge steel belt. By means of the multiple sets of devices, rolling of the idler wheels in the loose edge steel belt is achieved, the brake and the friction belt are evenly disengaged or closed, and therefore the loose braking function and the braking function of the large winch loose edge steel belt overhead type brake are achieved. The brake supporting device reasonably utilizes space, is compact in structural arrangement and small in installation difficulty, saves cost, and meets the use requirements of a large winch brake.
