The invention discloses a ground starting power generation test platform and test method for an unmanned aerial vehicle engine, and relates to the field of unmanned aerial vehicle avionics, the ground starting power generation test platform comprises a starting generator, a starting generator controller and a starting-power generation switching box are used for respectively controlling the on-off state and the operation mode of the starting generator, the starter generator is connected with the engine through the gear set; an engine controller that controls the engine; the ground storage battery is connected with the starting generator and supplies power to the engine when the engine needs to be started; the ground load is connected with the starter generator; the emergency protection box is arranged among the starter generator, the ground storage battery and the ground load; and the ground control box is connected with the starter generator controller, the starting-power generation switching box, the engine controller and the emergency protection box through signal cables, and the ground control box is used for displaying operation parameters of the starter generator, the engine, the ground storage battery and the ground load.
