The method comprises the steps that when following foot blowing of the vehicle-mounted air conditioner is started, the foot position of the foot at the corresponding riding position is collected in real time, a target windward part is determined according to a selected following foot blowing mode, and a corresponding target windward area is determined according to the target windward part and the foot position; and foot blowing outlet air of the vehicle-mounted air conditioner is controlled to skim over and cover the target windward area in an enveloping mode, following control over foot blowing of the vehicle-mounted air conditioner is achieved, and the comfort requirement of passengers for foot blowing of the air conditioner can be met without changing foot blowing equipment.
