A wheel drive device is provided with: a rotating electric machine (12) which is housed inside a cylindrical wheel (11) in the radial direction and which rotates the wheel; and a brake device (13) having a brake disc (61) and a brake caliper (62) and generating a braking force for the wheels. The rotating electrical machine has a rotor (30) and a stator (40) facing each other in a radial direction. A hollow part (48) is arranged on the radial inner side of a magnetic circuit part formed by the rotor and the stator. The brake device is disposed in the hollow portion in a state where the brake caliper is fixed to an axial end face of the stator and the brake disc and the rotor rotate integrally.

    车轮驱动装置具备:收容于圆筒状的车轮(11)的径向内侧,使所述车轮旋转的旋转电机(12);以及具有制动盘(61)和制动钳(62),产生对于所述车轮的制动力的制动装置(13)。所述旋转电机具有在径向上彼此相对的转子(30)和定子(40)。在由所述转子和所述定子构成的磁路部的径向内侧设置有中空部(48)。在所述制动钳固定于所述定子的轴向端面,并且所述制动盘与所述转子一体旋转的状态下,在所述中空部内设置所述制动装置。
