The invention provides an obstacle crossing universal wheel which comprises a universal wheel connecting plate, a universal wheel rotating frame, a universal wheel support, a front wheel and a rear wheel, the universal wheel connecting plate and the universal wheel rotating frame are rotationally connected through a vertically-arranged connecting assembly, and the universal wheel support and the universal wheel rotating frame are rotationally connected through a transversely-arranged rotating pin shaft; the front wheel and the rear wheel are installed at the front end and the rear end of the universal wheel support respectively, and in a normal state, the front wheel is in a suspended state, and the rear wheel is in a ground contact state. An elastic compression reset mechanism is arranged between the universal wheel support and the universal wheel rotating frame and located above the rear wheel. Limiting columns are arranged on the universal wheel supports above the front wheels, and in the normal state, the upper ends of the limiting columns abut against the lower surface of the top plate of the universal wheel rotating frame. According to the obstacle crossing universal wheel, when the rear wheels cross obstacles, the front wheels and the rear wheels can rotate around the rotating pin shafts, the front wheels touch the ground and the rear wheels are lifted, and therefore the obstacle crossing action of the universal wheel is achieved.
