The invention provides a rear image display system for naturally displaying an image behind a tractor with few dead angles. In the present invention, a rear image (d) is generated from a portion of a region shielded by a trailer (1) in an image (b) obtained by imaging the rear by a tractor rear camera (215) at the rear of a tractor (2), said portion being observed from the tractor rear camera (215) and being in a direction in which the portion is imaged by a camera at the side of the trailer (1) so as not to be shielded by the trailer (1). A part of the remaining part, which is observed from the tractor rear camera (215) and which is captured in the direction in which the part is captured by the rear camera of the trailer (1) so as not to be shielded by the trailer (1), is replaced with images (c1, c3) obtained by converting the viewpoint of the image of the side camera into the viewpoint of the tractor rear camera (215), and the part of the remaining part, which is observed from the tractor rear camera (215), is captured by the rear camera of the trailer (1) so as not to be shielded by the trailer (1). An image (c2) obtained by converting an image viewpoint of a rear camera of a trailer (1) into a viewpoint of a tractor rear camera (215) is replaced and displayed. Each region is calculated on the basis of the detected traction angle of the trailer (1).
