The invention relates to a hill starting drive control method and system, and the method comprises the steps: determining a critical torque needed for overcoming the resistance of a ramp based on the current gradient and load information of a vehicle obtained in real time; an accelerator pedal position signal is collected and analyzed, and pedal output torque is determined; determining a target total output torque based on the critical torque and the pedal output torque; according to a preset vehicle power model, the torque change rate under the current working condition is determined; according to a preset slope-load parameter correlation model, determining a correction coefficient of the torque change rate under the current working condition; according to the torque change rate, the correction coefficient and the time factor, determining a self-adaptive torque change amount; and iteratively calculating the actual output torque based on the initial torque and the self-adaptive torque variation, limiting the new actual output torque not to exceed the target total output torque through the comparison function, and repeating the process until the actual output torque reaches the target total output torque or meets a preset convergence condition.
