The present disclosure relates to a system and method for augmented reality windshield projection of an aircraft cockpit. The system comprises a sensing module which is configured to sense the state information of the aircraft and the information of the external environment of the aircraft; the augmented reality image generation module is configured to determine the flight stage of the aircraft based on the state information of the aircraft, and generate an augmented reality image based on the flight stage and by using the information from the perception module; and an optical projection module disposed within a front hood of an aircraft cockpit and configured to project the augmented reality image to a windshield of the aircraft.
