The invention provides a braking prompting method and device, equipment and a storage medium. The method comprises the following steps: in response to detection that a vehicle is in a kinetic energy recovery state, performing speed monitoring on the vehicle; and in response to monitoring that the speed change of the vehicle is greater than a preset change threshold value, controlling a brake lamp relay of the vehicle so as to lighten a brake lamp of the vehicle. According to the invention, a supplementary scheme is provided for the vehicle automatic prompt system, so that the safety coefficient of the vehicle is further improved.
