A modular electric vehicle charger housing system includes a first housing and a second housing. The first housing is adapted to enclose circuitry that connects a power input from the power input cable to an EV charging output of the EV charging output cable. The first housing includes a first port and a second port. The first housing receives an input cable through the first port and sends an output cable through the second port. The second housing includes a plurality of ports. The second housing receives an output cable through one of its ports. The second shell further comprises an electric vehicle charging socket or a mooring type electric vehicle charger connector used for charging an electric vehicle. In one embodiment, the second housing may be separated from the first housing using a conduit. In another embodiment, the second housing may be directly connected to the first housing.
