The method comprises the steps that when engine starting demand information of a passenger compartment is received, the current running mode of a vehicle is determined; if the current driving mode is a non-pure electric mode, an electric heater is controlled to electrically heat a passenger compartment, parameter information of the vehicle is obtained, and the parameter information comprises an electric quantity parameter, a temperature parameter and a speed parameter; and controlling an engine of the vehicle to start working and heat according to the parameter information, and heating a passenger compartment by using heat generated by the engine, so that the passenger compartment reaches the heating required temperature of the user. According to the technical scheme, the heating duration of the passenger compartment can be shortened, the heating efficiency is improved, waste heat resources of the engine can be reasonably utilized, and the utilization rate of the resources is improved.
