The vehicle control method comprises the steps that if a vehicle needs to be subjected to ejection starting, a vehicle control unit sends an ejection starting control request to a transmission controller; the transmission controller enters a catapult starting mode and a torque following mode in response to the catapult starting control request and sends a feedback message aiming at the catapult starting control request to the vehicle control unit, and the vehicle control unit obtains the target sliding friction rotating speed and the actual sliding friction rotating speed of the clutch in response to the feedback message; determining a clutch request torque based on the target sliding friction rotating speed and the actual sliding friction rotating speed and sending the clutch request torque to a transmission controller; the transmission controller controls an input torque of the clutch based on the clutch request torque. The clutch torque can be reasonably controlled, engine flameout or clutch hardware damage is avoided, and the transmission torque in the ejection starting process is guaranteed as much as possible.
